Met de Black Stone Raiders staat een nieuwe supergroep op: Black Stone Raiders zijn Jean-Paul Bourelly (Miles Davis), Darryl Jones (Rolling Stones) en Will Calhoun (Living Colour).

Rock, blues en funk in een ongeziene smeltkroes, gebracht door drie top- en rasmuzikanten.










Jean-Paul Bourelly - gitaar
Beschouwd als een van 's werelds beste gitaristen, uitdrager van de Hendrix sound. Vermengt blues met funk en jazz, speelde mee op Amandla van Miles Davis en deed mee bij Elvin Jones, McCoy Tyner en Pharaoh Sanders. Hij producete Cassandra Wilson en maakte muziek met zowel rapper D-Nice als noise gitarist Elliott Sharp. Zijn dramatische, ruwe en wilde gitaarsound leverde hem gouden platen op van Amerika tot Japan.

Darryl Jones - bass
Is sinds 1994 bassist van de Rolling Stones. Speelt al 25 jaar lang op elk groot internationaal podium (arena, stadion, festival) met de Rolling Stones maar ook bij Sting, Peter Gabriel, Madonna, Miles Davis en Eric Clapton.

Will Calhoun - drums
Lid van de legendarische band Living Colour, meermaals verkozen tot 's werelds beste drummer en Grammy winnaar. Naast zijn werk bij Living Colour drumde hij bij Mos Def, Tarja, Harry Belafonte, Jaco Pastorius, BB King, Pharaoh Sanders, Public Enemy, Wayne Shorter en Ron Wood.

With the coming of the Blacks Stone Raiders, Jean-Paul Bourelly, Darryl Jones and Will Calhoun, a new super-band is born.

JEAN-PAUL BOURELLY is considered one of the best guitarists in the world and also carries in an authentic way, an extension of the Hendrix sound. His is a modern and deep force of the blues mixed with funk and jazz. He worked in a variety of areas and appeared on the album "Amandla" by Miles Davis as well in bands with Elvin Jones, McCoy Tyner and Pharaoh Sanders. He worked with rappers like D-Nice, played with noise guitarist Elliott Sharp, with Vernon Reid, Dennis Chambers, TM Stevens, Melvin Gibbs and Cindy Blackman. He produced albums for Cassandra Wilson and is an innovative blues guitarist with gold discs in the U.S. and Japan. His extremely dramatic, rough and wild guitar sound captivates audiences time and again.

He is accompanied by bassist DARRYL JONES, his teenage buddy from Chicago, who happens to be a Rolling Stone. Darryl replaced Bill Wyman in 1994 in the most successful rock band of all times. Previously he worked for Sting, Miles Davis and Peter Gabriel and has in the last 25 years made his footprint on the stage of all of the major arenas worldwide.

WILL CALHOUN, the legendary Grammy-decorated drummer from the Bronx, has already several times been elected as the world's best drummer by international journals. He is a member of the legendary mega band Living Colour, has worked with Mos Def, Tarja, Harry Belafonte, Jaco Pastorius, BB King, Pharaoh Sanders, Public Enemy, Wayne Shorter and Ron Wood. His incredible powerful performances always captivates and leaves the audience speechless.
