Een nieuwe editie van Soulblazers. En wat voor één: voor deze editie werd het toonaangevende H.E.N.C.H. label uitgenodigd. Steken dus het kanaal over voor dit dubfestijn: headliner Chasing Shadows, Giant, Lost & Mensah.

Lost werd ontdekt door dubstep- en D&Bdon Jakes. Stevige, atmosferische wobbles met originele drums.
Mensah omschrijft zijn muziek dan weer als future funky 80's boogiedubstep . De man houdt niet van labeltjes plakken (of opgeplakt krijgen), dus is de boodschap: live meemaken!
Het trio Giant maakt deuntjes zoals we dat van Russen verwachten: hard, rauw, een decibelmeter die weleens over de rooie gaat en een vibe waarbij een wodka uitstekend past...
Soulblazers getrouwen van dienst zijn Science, Daily, Subreachers & 1901.

Vibes opened in 2000 as a new soulful cocktail bar in the heart of old Antwerp. Over the years Vibeshas built a reputation for its music and top resident DJ's spinning an eclectic selection of funk, jazz, grooves, R'n'B, Motown and soft rock.
Never scared to try new concepts, a series of live basement session were created. Maddix Monday (jazz house band), Writers Bench (acoustic based platform for singer:/song writers, poets and musicians with original material), Underground Connection one of the best funk/jam band of Antwerp. Musicology (current house band blending jazz, grooves, funk and Motown).

In a nutshell, Vibes is not your ordinary bar, it's more like a place of soul and real VIBES!

WAHWAHSDA is een verassende combinatie van Reggae en Hiphop. Diepzinnige teksten gebracht met een vleugje humor, afgewisseld met Freestyles. Van rustige nummers om bij weg te dromen tot opzwepende ritmes.

Ontstaan als eenmalig project tussen Spiritually Wally en SPUT, groeide WAHWAHSDA al snel uit tot een volwaardige live band die er telkens in slaagt sfeer te brengen bij jong en oud.
Ze speelden onder andere al als voorprogramma van Kymani Marley (Vooruit, Gent) , Konshens (Spiegeltent, Antwerpen) en werden geselecteerd voor Catch a Mic (Reggae Geel).

De band is momenteel volop bezig met het afronden van hun 2de cd, die in de lente 2011 voorgesteld zal worden. Op deze cd is een nieuwe bezetting te horen; Naast Spiritually Wally (Zang, Gitaar), SPUT (Mc), Dieter (Gitaar), Joeri (Drums) en Marij (Zang) hebben nu ook Benoitte (Zang), Steven (Bas) en Frederik (Toetsenist) de gelederen versterkt.

Kortom een unieke ervaring om naar uit te kijken !

are 2 ordinary guys with one mission: to let the crowd go wild on their beats and party hard! One half of this dj-duo is called Thomas Dockx. He started out as a dj at a very early age, and has a lot of musical experience & knowledge. The other half, Nicolas Kerstens, is known for his party-experience. Never says no to a good party and knows very well to which beats the crowd will go wild. Together they are set to rock the crowd at various parties and to have a good time, every time!

Renegade Masters are a new electronic dj trio consisting of members Cousens Wesley, Van den Durpel Nick and Van Dooren Jeroen!

This drum & bass dj from Antwerp first got behind the decks 4 years ago and has since then developed his own unique and distinct sound. Coming from the techno scene he approaches d&b from a different angle. Minimalistic sounds and deep dark basslines are his trademark but his selection varies from melodic rollers to pure dance floor destroyers ,the only constant is quality!

Lee Holman has been buying records since he first got into house and techno via hip-hop when growing up in the south-east of Ireland. Since then he has gone on to play at many of Ireland's leading clubs and festivals such as u.k. festival coloursfest, as well as running his own club nights and guesting throughout Ireland with top international dj talent.

2004 he co-founded the Sub-Culture night which went on to become SUB-SCAPE and moved to Belgium later that year. Now firmly established as one of Belgium's most respected club nights, as resident Lee has played with some of techno's best djs and producers including Fabrice Lig, Steve Rachmad, Ian O'Brien, Dan Curtin, DJ S²(Underground Resistance), Peel Seamus, Aroy Dee, Quinn(Delsin Records), Eamonn Doyle(D1), Âme, Aardvarck, Eddie 'Flashin' Fowlkes, Marco Passarani, St.Dic (Fuse), Shed(SoloAction, Berlin),DJ Innx(Electronic Resistance), Mark August(Mezzotinto,Curle Recordings) and Ripperton - Fat Lazy People (Planet E Records).

Lee is also extremely busy with music production, and while his style is aimed at the dancefloor, the deep aspect which he weaves into his dj sets always remains.

2007 see's lee take on a residency for www.livesets.com for the "Interstate 94%u2033 radio show along with fellow dj's Pedro Cali, Erell Ranson and Tyler Smith. 2007 also brings a high profile residency for Sub-scape with fellow residents Fabrice Lig(F-com),Spiritcatcher(20:20 vision) and Sub-scape founder Will O Brien.

Wixel is the musical outfit of Wim Maesschalck. Founder of the slaapwel records label, which only releases music dedicated to fall asleep to. He also is responsible for some guitar duties in an indie rock band called Guernica, and a folkband called Bloedrood.

The music of wixel has often been described as melancholic winter music. It's a warm and organic mix of acoustic instruments and gentle electronic treatments with a lot of care for detail and subtle nuances. Comparisons have been made to bands ranging from Hood to Fennesz, from Hélios to Sigur Rós.

In 2002 wixel debuted with a few cd-r releases, but it wasn't until 2006 that he came into the spotlight with his more acoustic sound of his official debut "Heart". The album was well received and resulted in live shows throughout the Benelux and the UK, where he also released a tour ep called "Herfst". In 2007 he released a split 7" with his other alter ego Bloedrood on Kaspar Hauser Records while working on a full length record that was released in December 2008. Wixel delves more into the acoustic, fuzzy and atmospheric sound with even more care for balance and pace.

Live, wixel is a band playing music that isn't always recorded on an album, but that clearly takes cues from the melodies of his records. It consists of four people, except Wim there's Ulrike Dragon on guitars and electronics, Karen Smedts on guitars and drums, Nil Ramos on drums, electronics and guitars.
