Max Normal were just starting to become a really big band on the SA music scene, fusing elements of Hip-Hop and jazz with "electronica" into a spontaneous theatrical performance. then in early 2002 enigmatic front-man Watkin Tudor Jones summarily disbanded it in search of more challenging directions. Not to be confused with MaxNormal.TV, the mercurial Mr Jones's previous incarnation. Or his current incarnation Die Antwoord.
