Biografie

Collieman is a Reggae Singer from Belgium, collaborating with bands such as 'Pura Vida', 'The Mighty Sunscape' and 'Asham Band'.

"Ever since he was a little boy, Collieman (Stefaan Colman) was praised for his unique voice. Experiencing many styles over the years, he got more and more influenced by the conscious teachings of the Rastafarian Movement, until he would become one of Belgium's most promising singers in the reggae genre, playing alongside many artists. After going on a mission to Jamaica with Puraman (PuraVida ft. The Congo's), this young artist has become an even better performer, and so many are getting aware of his lyrical skill and vocal talent"

When Collieman was born, his Mother wished he could grow in a world of peace, love and understanding, and so she raised him to become a rightouess man, and showed him the way to do good and give praise for all what is truly amazing in this world. She teached him to make his own destiny, to be who he wants to be and to be free to make his own decisions.

And so Collieman discovered he received a precious gift from the most High: the talent to sing & chant, the skill to put words into a higher plan and the possibility of playing musical instruments with his whole hearth & soul, so to be able to overcome certain troubles, and as a way to fight against the Belgian Babylon society that he was born in, but didn't want to cope with.

Confident about the mission he had choosen to be his destiny, many soldiers enlisted to be part of the Battle of Battles, the everlasting stride between Good and Evil. They are being referred to as 'Jah Generation', for this generation in this time is preserved to do Jah Works and these works only. They're music has been an inspiration for many people to arise and manifest against the many wrongs in this world.

Along the way, in 2009 he connected with even more kindred spirits, so to form yet another group of enthusiast musicians, by the name of 'Collieman & the Mighty Sunscape'. They're trying to bring down the walls of Babylon with their strong and steady repertoire, wich is a mix of New Roots with influences from many other genres. Their first EP is coming our way soon (E.T.A. november 2010), and will be a musical journey leading you accross the heavy dubs and superior melodies they've created, accompanied by the razor-sharp and keen voicing of Collieman.

In 2009, he also got acquainted with another Rebel warrior. Sailing with his Lost Arc, Puraman has a quest similar to the one of Collieman, so it was only just a matter of time for them to gather, stronger in a collaboration than as individual beings. So it happened that Collieman joined 'PuraVida', a group of conscientious combatants assembled by PuraMan in 2004, and that has been growing in quality & quantity ever since. In 2010, they went to Jamaica to record 'The Congo's', and so 'PuraVidaProductions' has made another step forward to be an esteemed artist alongside the many great Legends.

And so Collieman shall go I-ver forward on the rocky road and sing wherever his word of protest is appreciated, and wherever people lost their hopes in a brighter future, the prospect of a world in which there is no difference between the colour of a man skin no more than the colour of his eyes, and a society in which no group of people can be kept inferior. It is time for rightouesness to exalt the nation, because for he who take without regard is ignorant, and still a part of the problem, not of the solution.
